The German edition of the fifty-year-old French monthly, “Le Monde diplomatique”, has existed since 1995. Original contributions and images make the German issue more than a translation. Alongside articles, a different contemporary artist is showcased each month. Today, Le Monde diplomatique appears in 30 editions (and 17 languages) worldwide, reaching 1.5 million readers, 120 000 of whom live in Germany.
